Sometimes you need some Wordpress hacks to help you modify your Wordpress theme code and make it do what you want. Maybe you want excerpts on your homepage (or not), something custom in your sidebar, you want more than one type of header, or a custom 404 or search page. A “hack” is usually some PHP code or a “trick” that modifies the original default Wordpress code.
